  • Salon Products: Now Delivering Tints and Backbar Products Exclusively to Salons

Great news for salons wanting to place custom-orders of backbar products including tints and basin products. Bulkshop of Salon Products is now open. You can now order your backbar products (tints, basin products and retail) online at cost price! This gives you you the convenience to get your backbar products and retail products from different suppliers in one order, with whatever custom quantities you need – couriered to your door! This is ideal for when salons reopen, allowing you to offer your clients the service and price range they need, without overcommiting your budget. Note, only registered salons have access to the Bulkshop. Direct Retail Sales Salon Products allows you to sell all the brands we have online directly to your clients without you having to stock the products in your salon. We do the packaging and distribution for you, you just have to market your link online. It does not matter where your salon is located, you can now sell products ANYWHERE in South Africa. No client can purchase any product without it going through a salon’s Username. Watch the video below to see how you can be earning money online while sitting at home. You earn 20% of the total cost (retail price) of any product that you sell online (which is a 40% mark-up percentage). Keep in mind, there are a lot more costs involved when it comes to online selling including: packaging, distribution, warehouse costs etc. All these costs are covered for you through Salon Products. You will not be earning 20% by starting your own Online Shop. You can join us now for only R99 a month! While you can join immediately, payment only starts from the following month. You are not bonded with us for a year, you only need to give us one month’s notice for cancellation by sending an email to info@salonproduct.co.za. If you already have your own smaller website for your salon, you would know that the domain alone costs you more than R99/month. Click HERE to Sign Up with Salon Products and let us start this amazing journey. To ask any questions, please contact us on 082 302 6009. • Permits to Trade: False Statements on Social Media

PERMITS TO TRADE - FALSE STATEMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA The National Bargaining Council for the Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty and Skincare Industry (“The Council”) has been made aware of statement made on Social Media that we as Council assisted certain establishments in acquiring permits to trade. We hereby confirm that this is untrue, and steps will be taken against these false allegations. The Council would like to reiterate that under Level 4 of the lockdown, all Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty or Skincare services are strictly prohibited. Only the retail of products is allowed under the strictest regulations as Gazetted. The Council would also like to make clear that aesthetic treatments for a patient as prescribed by a medical professional for example eczema is allowed. It is however illegal for a therapist or aesthetic therapist to render a service to a client such as a chemical peel. Distinction should be made between a patient and a client. • Post-Lockdown Employment Options by Natasha von Brandis

Natasha von Brandis forecasts what the industry will look like post-lockdown, and what options will be open to hairstylists looking to restart strongly. Stylists are looking to new possibilities post-lockdown as many salons face an uncertain future. Good news though, there’s a chair open with your name on it. You just need a great resume. Appointments are going to be sought-after because of overflow of clients, and stylists seeing less clients per day. Shift rotations will be in place, so stylists all have a turn to work, and accommodate clients. This will mean longer hours or opening extra days to allow for enough time and to accommodate clients. Mobile services are being considered by both salon owners and stylists. Many salons will not be in a position to take on more staff right away and unfortunately some salons may have been forced to close, so it will create a win-win if you can try to accommodate an unemployed stylist in your area with a spot to rent on quieter days. It could be the start of a long and beautiful working relationship. Unemployment is on a fast track with many salon owners reaching out to me because of closing, unemployment in our industry is a big factor we need to address. Many stylists will be looking for new opportunities, and if you are one of the salons who survives lockdown you will hopefully find yourself in a strong position afterwards, and able to attract new staff who can be a real asset to your business. @flavahairdesign Follow me on; Instagram: @natasha_v_brandis Fb: @natashavbrandis #mastercolourist #milk_shakehairprofessionals #salonowner #dreamhair #haircolourtrend #hairblogger #hairmakeover #blaauwberg #natatshavbrandis #brandambassador #capetowninfluencer #liveabeautifullife #colourconniseur #milk_shakehairsouthafrica #loveyourhair #haircareexpert #bossbabesofsocialmedia You might also enjoy...
