- Intercoiffure Mondial – Ponytails: Donations for Hair for Life
Sharing brings joy, especially in times like these. In every way and in every aspect of life. Especially when highly sensitive matters are at stake. Thin, fine hair. Hair loss. Hair replacement. And a new head of hair, of course. Second hair. Making a wig from real hair is an old-established craft. And that is exactly what “my hair donation” is all about. There are times in life for cutting things out or cutting them short, when you make changes or you want help. Hair For Life Intercoiffure Mondial has joined with passionate intercoiffure and second-hair specialists, Uli and Markus Kempinger from Augsburg in Germany. The Kempingers collect human hair braids and ponytails in this way and then donate to Education for Life. They have been active with the website www.hair-for-life.com for over a year. Donate Do you also find this charity project inspiring and would like to support it? All further information can be found at: www.hair-for-life.com The more braids and ponytails donated, the more donations we will receive. So, join us and do good! Who are you and what do you do? We are a classic hairdressing business, operating in the second generation, that has specialised in the fields of thin and fine hair, second hair and hair replacement. How do I donate collected ponytails? Click HERE and fill out the form and send the donor card with the ponytail to Intercoiffure Mondial. Please contact: Ezra Isaacs Ambassador for Education For Life SA Email : ezraisaacs@hotmail.com For more information, please click HERE where all your questions can be answered in depth! What happens to the ponytails? Depending on its length, hairpieces and real-hair wigs are made with donated hair. The wigs are provided to people who suffer from acute or illness-related hair loss and need replacement hair. How long does the ponytail hair have to be? 30 centimetres is ideal. Give a few centimetres more if you can. The longer the hair, the more useful it is. Why is “real hair” so important? For people who are ill, in this phase of their lives real hair that feels and looks like their own hair is especially important. We at Intercoiffure work with www.meinehaarspende.de and hair-for-life.com , making donations direct to our organisation education-for-life.com. Lifestyle The Intercoiffure community enables us to do good and generate awareness. Our customers become part of this meaningful campaign with their hair donation. Good for our customers. Good for us. And good for the young people. Our Mission: Education For Life “Education for Life“ is a charity project of Intercoiffure Mondial. We collect donations and thus finance training projects for young people from crisis areas of the world. Namely for a qualified training as a hairdresser, which then enables the young people a self-determined future. Our commitment to our industry and social projects set us apart around the world. Who is Intercoiffure? Intercoiffure is a community of hairdressers who are characterised by outstanding craftsmanship thanks to their excellence and their remarkable commitment to quality. Globally there are some 2,800 Intercoiffure hairdressers in 45 countries. How can I help you with this? If you like our mission, tell other people about our activities. Or tell them how worthwhile it is to go to a good, qualified hairdresser. Or to be a hairdresser yourself. We give training. Especially for qualifications in the field of hair replacement. - Styles: Future Loves Punks by Pauline McCabe, Australia
My vision for Future Loves Punks springs from this unique moment in time. A dopamine rush as we emerge from stillness and embrace movement. My aim was to express the joy of re-emergences and transformation, while also capturing the collective sense of mixed excitement and apprehension. The process of bringing my collection to life is organic, flowing and evolving from a single concept or energetic starting point. I begin by simpy absorbing the themes and ideas present in the world around me. Standing on the precipice of the metaverse and looking into a digital future. I was initially thinking a lot about Y2K nostalgia. That energy drew me back to the nineties and early ‘00s and I began to immerse myself in the sounds of imagery at that time – particularly European and British rave culture of the nineties; artists like Björk, the iconic pages of I-D and the Face; and looking even further back to the art of Basquiat and the music and fashion of artists like Roxy Music and Bowie. As I started to conceptualise the collection, my research took me further into the massive cultural imprints of glam, punk and post-punk movements. I became fascinated by the youth subcultures that grew out of them. Strong theses started to consolidate around post-punk and counter-culture, independence and futurism – a celebration, coloured by a sense of discord. Like the artists who inspired my collection, the women in it are disruptors. Young, raw, fiercely independent but not naïve, they’re driven by the passion of rebellion. These are individuals who find joy in fashion and beauty, yet they need nobody’s approval. They’re creative, self-assured and unapologetically themselves. Their style is unique and eclectic, a combination of punk and art-pop mixed with a splash of anime-inspired e-girl style. The common thread is a laser focus on feeling good and expressing their authentic selves. Bold colour is hero – tomato reds, neon greens and mermaid blues married with artful accents, global textures and DIY finishes.
