Intercoiffure Mondial – Ponytails: Donations for Hair for Life

Sharing brings joy, especially in times like these.

In every way and in every aspect of life. Especially when highly sensitive matters are at stake. Thin, fine hair. Hair loss. Hair replacement. And a new head of hair, of course. Second hair. Making a wig from real hair is an old-established craft. And that is exactly what “my hair donation” is all about.

There are times in life for cutting things out or cutting them short, when you make changes or you want help.

Hair For Life

Intercoiffure Mondial has joined with passionate intercoiffure and second-hair specialists, Uli and Markus Kempinger from Augsburg in Germany. The Kempingers collect human hair braids and ponytails in this way and then donate to Education for Life. They have been active with the website www.hair-for-life.com for over a year.

We are a classic hairdressing business, operating in the second generation, that has specialised in the fields of thin and fine hair, second hair and hair replacement.

What happens to the ponytails?

Depending on its length, hairpieces and real-hair wigs are made with donated hair. The wigs are provided to people who suffer from acute or illness-related hair loss and need replacement hair.

How long does the ponytail hair have to be?

30 centimetres is ideal. Give a few centimetres more if you can. The longer the hair, the more useful it is.

Why is “real hair” so important?

For people who are ill, in this phase of their lives real hair that feels and looks like their own hair is especially important.
