Chris Stofberg, Managing Director of Modern Hair & Beauty, and Sharafit Ayub, Finance and Operations Director, recently travelled to Keune’s head office in Soest, just outside Amsterdam. While there, they visited the production facility, the research and development centre, and spent time with the marketing and sales departments to learn about upcoming developments and new ways to support their number one client: the hair salon. Founder of the company Jan Keune, a chemist, started developing his own products for the salon industry in 1922. Since then, everything they do is science first. His son, George Keune Sr, took over the business and continued the work that his father started. He was joined by his son Eelco, ten years ago. Today Keune is distributed in 87 countries and fast becoming recognised as a top-quality brand, who are exclusively dealing with hair salons only. Their motto is that that they consider what’s good for both the hair stylist and the planet, in all the decisions that they make.
