Like most businesses, Covid completely changed customer buying habits. Even before the Covid crisis, businesses in the service industry were faced with the dilemma about how to attract new customers believing that getting new clients was the answer.

I recently spent three weeks holidaying in the UK and one of the things on my bucket list was to see how they dealt with the issue of clients.

Funny enough they have the same challenges as we do. General Retail, into which hair and beauty salons fall, is trading down. People are just not going the shopping malls as much since Covid and, of course, this is where many salons are located.

So, if clients are not coming to where we are located, we have to learn how to tap in to the 'universe of clients'

There are really only three types of clients : CURRENT CLIENTS; EX-CLIENTS and FUTURE CLIENTS. And they are all part of the "universe of clients".

CURRENT CLIENTS:

Do you know how many loyal clients you have? Which 20% of your clients spend 80% of the turnover? Do you know how many new clients you are getting? Do you know how many clients you are losing? If you can't answer these questions you need to get CRM Software (client relationship management).

EX-CLIENTS:

All business lose clients and unfortunately 70% of those is because of client dissatisfaction, not meeting expectations and failing to give clients value for their money. But memories are short. Using CRM Software you can reach out to clients who have stopped coming to you, and, if your message/invitation contains a good offer, some of those client WILL respond.

FUTURE CLIENTS (of which there is an abundance):

That's the beauty of client satisfaction net-work marketing. Your most loyal clients are also your best ambassadors. Recognise and Reward them bearing in mind you are marketing to their friends and colleagues as well as the "Universe Of Clients".
