Wella Company, exclusively represented by mhb in South Africa, considers ongoing education as a fundamental pillar of both personal and professional growth and its key point of difference in the hair industry. Learning fuels creativity, sharpens expertise and drives long-term success. Education keeps stylists inspired, relevant and competitive, while supporting sustainable, profitable salon businesses.

This philosophy is brought to life through Wella R.I.S.E., a global education initiative built on four pillars –  Relationships, Inspiration, Science and Education. Designed to empower hairstylists, R.I.S.E. blends artistry and science to unlock potential and celebrate professional craft.

Mhb is proud to bring this global vision to life in South Africa. With a strong focus on colour, supported by business and digital education, our programmes are designed to build confidence, inspire creativity and enable consistent, exceptional results.

Above all, mhb believes in the power of community. We are proud to support your journey and look forward to shaping a future defined by creativity, growth and success.

The mhb Education Calendar Jan–Jun 2026 offers immersive colour experiences and hands-on cutting programmes, digital learning sessions and nail artistry masterclasses, amongst others. It’s an education designed to inspire and grow every stylist.

Highlights of the Education Calendar 2026 include:

Wella Color Craft Specialist – A five-day colour experience that strengthens formulation, colour placement and colour thinking. Stylists gain practical guidance on how colour interacts with the hair fibre, create intentional client plans and tackle challenges with clarity. This course is a prerequisite for the Wella Color Expert qualification, making it a strategic step for those pursuing certification.

Kadus Colour Circuit – A four-day, hands-on programme focused on essential colour principles. Stylists revisit the basics, explore creativity and make technical decisions with confidence. Daily sessions cover colour fundamentals, blonding, colour and makeover transformations.

Wella Learn Lounge – Complimentary online sessions designed for accessible learning throughout 2026. Short and focused, these sessions cover science, colour and retail essentials. Topics include Smoothfiller, ingredient clarity and myth-busting, Wella’s Ultimate retail ranges and revisiting colour fundamentals.

OPI Nailflix and Skill Sessions – A digital programme blending technical insight with creativity for nail professionals. Topics include nail anatomy and health, common nail concerns, an introduction to OPI Nature Strong and technique-driven, trend-inspired nail art.

Cutting Course with Flo Neacsu – A two-day cutting programme led by award-winning, Wella Ambassador Flo Neacsu. Flo’s structured approach helps stylists master shape, technique and suitability. Key elements include three adaptable core cuts, guided practice with educator support, creative interpretations and salon-ready application.

Looking ahead in 2026, you can expect exciting product updates that include Wella Blondorplex with metal-purifying technology, the relaunch of Sebastian Professional and additions to the OPI Nature Strong Nail and Skincare range.
