Wella Professionals TrendVision Award is back! Your journey to the ultimate stage starts with the National TrendVision Award… so get ready to bring your skill and creativity to life and the big prize could be yours … but only if you enter the NTVA. Keep reading to find out more about this year’s NTVA.

 

 

Wella’s TrendVision Award is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and colour, showcasing the power of Wella’s world-class colour portfolio and harnessing the creative and technical talents of hair stylists throughout the Wella world. It is an opportunity for you to realise your creative vision through your unique skills and style and to supercharge your hairdressing career and put you on the map.

 

NTVA entries open on Friday 1 August 2025. Choose your category and create your vision by entering one of this year’s two categories: Transformation Visionary or Editorial Visionary. A preliminary round of photographic ‘before’ and ‘after’ entries must reach us by no later than 5pm on Friday, 5 September. The Top 6 finalists will be announced on social platforms on Friday, 12 September. The final event will take place in Johannesburg on Saturday, 1 November.

Top 6 finalists announced: Friday 12 September 2025

Final event and Top 3 per category winners announced: Saturday, 1 November 2025



CATEGORY 1

Transformation Visionary Award

For passionate perfectionists with a high level of craft in both cut and colour.

The look: A full transformation in both cut and colour that reflects your expertise and ability to enhance your model’s natural beauty with the total look. Your bold and striking results can be classic and beautiful or creative and edgy.

Inspiration: Surreal Colour trend – Inspired by AI, created by Professionals. The total look should respect the code of the trend and colours palette direction.

 

CATEGORY 2

Editorial Visionary Award

For curious and creative artists who want to express their boundless creativity and artistry through bold looks.

The look: The embodiment of a chic editorial aesthetic showcasing colour, cut and style, and inspired by fashion, magazines, art, and architecture. The end result is a beautifully crafted look suited to your model that could be seen in a premium fashion magazine.

Inspiration: Surreal Colour trend – Inspired by AI, created by Professionals. The total look should respect the code of the trend and colours palette direction.



– Total prize value is R142,000.00. This includes an invitation for the two Gold winners to International Wella Professionals Destination – date TBC by Wella Company and subject to change.

 

ABRIDGED CONDITIONS

– Overnight accommodation will be provided by mhb on 1 November for Top 6 travelling from outside of Johannesburg.

– Travel to and from the event, and any additional expenses are not included.

– Dates and events subject to change without notice.
