The Minister of Employment and Labour has by Notice (No. 1732) in the Government Gazette (No. 45882 dated 7 February 2022) amended the National Minimum Wage from R21.69 per hour to R23.19 per hour, with effect from 1 March 2022. The amounts applicable to Learners have also been amended.
The required changes have been made to Annexure H to ensure that the correct information is used to determine salaries and to calculate contributions from 1 March 2022. Revised Annexure H wage schedules have been included on the Council’s website and can be accessed as follows:
