“Silent Hairdressing” Industry Feedback

There was a lot of discussion about the topic of silent hairdressing services in salons.

Most salons were in favour of the idea and some have even been offering it already, perhaps not in so many words, but have stylists and clients comfortable with the idea of not talking during hair services.

For a few salons the respondents felt it would not fit in with their vibe, which is a very communicative and fun vibe.

Many clients commented on social media that they would love this option and that it would be great to be able to zone out and not speak for a couple of hours, depending on their mood – some days they might be very happy chatting but other days, quiet would be preferred.

One thing that everyone acknowledges is that clients’ lives are becoming more and more stressful and salons must seek to handle this and look for ways to help clients deal with their stress.

Thanks to everyone who participated!
