David Gillson Opens Issy’s In London

Exciting industry news – David Gillson, who heads up Carlton Hair Hyde Park, is the proud co-owner of a London salon, Issy’s.
David explains he has always wanted to own a salon in London and have the experience of working there, but at the same time he never wanted to leave South Africa. So his dream was to be able to travel there regularly and service his clients (he has many existing clients who are now living in London), while still being based in South Africa.
The street the salon is located in, Elizabeth Street, is one of the trendiest and most picturesque streets in London. Located in Belgravia, it is populated with gorgeous designer stores, beautiful confectioneries, designer stores, and more.
“Hopefully by working in London I will come back inspired and updated by the latest trends, which I can then bring back to the Carlton Hair team, and I feel fortunate to have Carlton’s full support in this venture. I’ve always felt London is the centre of the fashion world so I am very excited to be a part of it now – I feel like I’m living in a dream.”
Debbie Postiglioni, who is partnering in the new venture with David, says, “we are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our passion for hair and outstanding customer service in our sustainable , environmentally friendly salon in one of the most iconic stylish Streets in London, Elizabeth Street.”
