How Lighting Changes Colour – Photos by Flo Neacsu, Excentric

What do you do when your clients bring in a photo of a hair colour, and want you to replicate the colour?

According to Flo Neacsu of Excentric Hair, Cape Town, “For all the clients that go to the hair salon with a picture and want that exact look, I am attaching some pictures of a colour I've done recently. I took pictures from different angles, with the same phone and no filters. I would like you to see the huge difference in colour that is given by the light, angle or coloured wall behind the client. So if your client asks for an exact colour, remember the picture is influenced by many factors including the camera, the light, and the surroundings. The reality is that NO hair colour can look exactly like a photo.”
