Have you Google Searched your Salon Recently?

It’s important for every salon owner or independent hairstylist to Google search your business regularly, and the quieter time of January represents a great opportunity to do this. Googling your business allows you to pick up any negative reviews that might be out there, as well as outdated or inaccurate info, and also to see how quickly your salon name comes up. If a client has heard about you and is searching online, you want your business website to be visible on the first page of Google, especially if they have the business name.

Once you have established the good and the bad, after searching, you can then take steps to improve – through search engine optimisation for your website, updating information, and ensuring that clients leave good reviews to counterbalance any negative or unfair ones.
