The Hairnews Team would love to wish the SA Hair and Beauty Industry a very Happy New Year and join us in a quick look at the year ahead with an eye to building your presence online. Our goal is to continue to build that strong sense of community that is so much a part of our industry with a number of exciting new ideas looking forward, each one celebrating our community of such creative, talented stylists, their salons and the amazing suppliers who support our professionals so wholeheartedly.
We have so many fantastic projects for the next year to share all the information that the SA industry needs to be at the forefront of hair technology and what clients demand for all their hair care needs.

Just some of projects we’ve been working on for you:
Our websites Hairnews.co.za and Afro Hairnews.co.za have been diligently revamped and redesigned by our awesome Design Director Brad De Waal so check in with them now – a whole new look that brings the newest info to you easily with a touch of a button.
Need the latest info from the EOHCB or your Bargaining Council for regulations and wage schedules?
Need to make important decisions for your career aspirations or your salons staffing solutions?
What are the exciting events and competitions coming up - where can you register?
What’s the latest news on the annual Hairnews Awards and how can you vote for your favourite category?
And more to look forward to as we develop our new Online Directory for the SA hair and beauty industry brands and educators!

Our FB and IG Pages are updated throughout the day, with the newest information and articles you need, fast-paced stories and reels to tweak your interest, and all info shared to our Public FB Group for maximum interactive potential for suppliers, salons, beauticians and stylists.

EXCITING PROJECTS TO COME
Building our Community – Let’s share the creativity of our local SA Stylists and Salons.
Do you have an upcoming salon celebration you’d love to promote or share with the industry? Contact us and let us know so we can feature you nationally and really put yourself on the map!

Has your salon recently contributed to any charity or community projects? Please share with us so that we can inspire others to make a difference.
Have you invested so much time and heart-felt effort in creating or revamping your salon? We can come by and set up a video décor tour to share and inspire, or you can send us your pics and videos, and we can all share the excitement.

Have you had an incredibly gorgeous result with a colour recipe you’d like to share? We would love to make it famous – send them to brad@hairnews.co.za or DM them directly to our FB and IG pages, or tag us and we’ll contact you!
We will be showcasing our local styles, talent and salons regularly every week in Hairnews.

The Online Directory of Brands & Educators – a business search tool we all need
We get so many requests and questions every day directed to our FB and IG Pages, on the FB Group, and to our general Hairnews info@hairnews.co.za email, that we are pushing forward with the SA Industry Online Directory for Brands and Accredited Educational Institutions.
Brands and Educational Institutions will each have a dedicated page on our website for you to easily find the contact details of what you need. As a supplier or educator, how can you miss this opportunity to place your brand listing on the primary informational site for the SA hair and beauty industry?
We will be promoting the Directory every month in Hairnews and on our social media to keep your listing at the top of mind.

Suppliers - Plan Your Marketing Year
We’ll be sending you information in the coming week about new marketing opportunities and a Yearly Planner of all our Special Mailers so you can plan ahead and maximise your marketing campaigns.

Job Listings to become a Feature on the HN and AHN Websites

Send your info to us for either a full Hairnews Classified or a brief job listing for your staffing solutions – special rates to apply depending on your needs and placements. Operators and stylists in need of employment opportunities can send us their details and location for publication free of charge!

And our 2023 Hairnews Awards are almost Ready to Go!
We are currently compiling the categories for 2023 Hairnews Awards – Get ready to support your favourites in the voting categories and to WOW the judges and the industry in the creative categories!
