Continuous education keeps hairstylists inspired, builds confidence and opens up new opportunities for salon growth. Through The Business of Beautiful Hair, a Wella Professionals education initiative brought to regional markets by mhb, stylists explored fresh creative ideas, shared insights and gained practical advice about what it takes to grow a successful salon.

The seminar series visited four regional centres, with each event hosted by a South African Wella Professionals Ambassador: Flo Neacsu in George, Charles Junior Louw in Nelspruit, Jadie Herbst in Port Elizabeth and Warren Schultz in Bloemfontein. Each ambassador brought their professional experience and passion for hairdressing to the seminars, sharing their perspectives on creative excellence and salon business growth.

The programme explored five key themes: beautiful colour, real business conversations, personal stories, practical takeaways and Wella innovation. Discussions around creative possibilities of professional colour,  product innovations and techniques for achieving optimal results left stylists with plenty of inspiration to take back to their salons.

But running a successful salon takes more than technical know-how, and the sessions also explored the business side of hairdressing. Better consultations, stronger client relationships, thoughtful product recommendations and exceptional service can all make a difference to the client experience and the salon’s bottom line.

Through personal stories, professional insights and practical advice, the seminars encouraged guests to look at their work from fresh perspectives and identify ideas they could put into practice straight away.

The Business of Beautiful Hair demonstrated how creativity and sound business sense work hand-in-hand when it comes to building a successful salon.
