REFLECTION delves into the intricate layers of human identity, where each photograph serves as a window into the metaphorical masks we wear and the silent battles we fight within ourselves to reconcile these many personas.
In preparing for this collection, I undertook extensive research and aimed to conceptualize two main themes: Dr. Carl Jung's psychological model of the conscious, personal unconscious, and collective unconscious, and the Japanese proverb concerning the "Triad of Human Facade."
Through deliberate choices in lighting, composition, and styling, we sought to capture more than just outward appearances —to reveal the deeper, often contrasting emotions that lie beneath.
This collection is inspired not only by my own journey of self-discovery but also by the unfolding stories and evolving identities of the younger generation around me.
It is both a reflection of the people I've encountered and a mirror of my ongoing quest for authenticity. REFLECTION invites viewers to look beyond the surface and contemplate the hidden truths that shape who we truly are.
