“Optical art uses contrasting colours, light, and patterns to create the illusion of movement and depth. Though the image is still, it can appear to shimmer or shift depending on how it’s viewed. Light and colour work together to shape how we see, using highlights, shadows, and tone to make flat images look full, curved, or in motion — turning simple designs into something that feels real and alive.”
