More Than Hair: The Goldwell Color Collective Retreat

Bring together a group of passionate, creative hairstylists, surround them with breathtaking scenery, add incredible food, inspiring education and plenty of laughter, and you have the perfect recipe for an unforgettable Goldwell Color Collective Hair Retreat!

Set against the spectacular backdrop of Franschhoek in the beautiful Cape Winelands, the Goldwell Color Collective recently came together for an experience that was about so much more than hair. It was a celebration of creativity, individuality, friendship and the incredible community that makes our industry so special.

The retreat featured a fantastic lineup of educational sessions, each offering a unique perspective on personal and professional growth.

Bernie Bennie certainly grabbed everyone's attention with his brilliantly titled session, "Don't Be a Doos!" A refreshingly honest and entertaining take on how we present ourselves, treat others and navigate professional relationships, it was a reminder that some of life's most valuable lessons come with a healthy dose of humour!

Stav & Gavin brought their signature energy and attitude to the "Rockstar" session, encouraging everyone to embrace their individuality, own their talents and unleash their inner rockstar.

Shawn Bubb explored the world of personal branding, highlighting the importance of understanding who you are, what sets you apart and how to build a memorable, authentic identity in an increasingly competitive industry.

Three very different sessions, but one common message: be authentic, believe in yourself and never stop growing!

Of course, it wouldn't be a Goldwell gathering without something exciting happening in the world of colour!

One of the retreat's highlights was the launch of three fabulous new Goldwell Elumen shades: GG@8, PB@6 and SV@8.

These exciting additions to the Elumen family offer even more possibilities for creative colour expression, giving colourists fresh inspiration to experiment, explore and push their artistic boundaries.

For a group of colour-loving creatives, what could be more exciting than new shades to play with?

While the education and colour inspiration were highlights, some of the most memorable moments happened between sessions.

From the spectacular Franschhoek scenery and fabulous food to the conversations, shared experiences and infectious laughter, every moment was a reminder of why being part of this industry is so rewarding.

There is something truly special about spending time with like-minded creatives who understand your passion, celebrate your successes and inspire you to dream a little bigger. The retreat was filled with genuine connections, fantastic company and the kind of laughter that creates lasting memories.

As the retreat drew to a close, one thing was certain: everyone left with more than just new knowledge. They took home fresh ideas, renewed motivation, stronger friendships and a reminder of why they fell in love with hairdressing in the first place.

The Goldwell Color Collective Hair Retreat was a beautiful reminder that education inspires us, creativity drives us, but connection is what brings us together.
