Celebrating over 50 years of service in the hairpiece industry, Mike and Liz Hairpieces is thrilled to be celebrating our 6-month anniversary in our Groenkloof branch. Established in 1968, this family-run business has built a reputation for providing top-quality wigs, extensions, non-surgical hair replacement solutions, and more.

To mark the occasion, we hosted a joyful celebration on 9 May 2025 and what a fabulous day it was! Those who attended absolutely loved it. We had fun fitting wigs, indulging in delicious snack platters, and sending our customers off with cute giveaways and gorgeous new hair. To top it all off, we had our very own Newtrino Specialist on-site, offering free trichoscopies - analysing scalps to help uncover the reasons behind hair thinning. All around, it was a smashing day, filled with fun, confidence boosts, and smiling faces.

The Linden branch in Johannesburg has already made a name for itself with its top-notch selection of synthetic and human hair wigs - basically, it’s the Harvard of Hair. And now, the Groenkloof location is aiming to match those fabulous follicles strand-for-strand. Our celebration day was a good start!

But it’s not just about the hair - it’s about the heart. Our staff are specially trained to help clients experiencing hair loss for a range of reasons, and they do it with compassion and care. Whether you're looking for wigs, toppers, headwear, or a hairpiece, we’ve got you covered - literally. We pride ourselves on being your go-to destination for both natural and synthetic hair solutions.

The Groenkloof branch and Johannesburg branch will work hand in hand to provide you with the best care and aim to give you quality hair you will love.

In addition to a wide selection of products, Mike and Liz Hairpieces also offers personal alterations at their onsite factory in Johannesburg to hairpieces, such as highlights and slight colour adjustments. And because we love our customers as much as we love a good root touch-up, our team in Pretoria now offers a pick-up-and-deliver service for wig alterations to our Johannesburg-based factory. That means you don’t have to sit in traffic - we’ll do the hooting for you.

“We are so excited to expand our family business into Groenkloof,” said Logan, the owner. “Our goal has always been to help people look and feel beautiful, and we can’t wait to welcome our new clients.”

We take a holistic approach to hair care, working with beauty professionals and partnering with Nonprofits like “Look Good Feel Better” to offer the full package - your one-stop solution for all hair needs.

So, whether you're after volume, versatility, or vengeance on thinning hair, Mike and Liz Hairpieces is your one-stop shop for all things fabulous. Give us a call to book your free consultation and let us help you find hair you’ll love. Mike and Liz Hairpieces is excited to help the community look and feel beautiful!

About Look Good Feel Better

For over 30 years, Look Good Feel Better® has supported people undergoing cancer treatment by helping them manage the appearance-related side effects of their illness. Since its launch in 1989, the program has empowered over 2 million women across 27 countries to regain confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of control over their lives.

The program is a collaborative initiative led by the Look Good Feel Better Foundation, the charitable division of the Personal Care Products Council, and the Professional Beauty Association, the largest organization of salon professionals. Specially trained volunteer beauty experts guide patients through a 12-step skincare and makeup regimen, using donated products which patients take home to continue their self-care.

Hands-on sessions offer more than just beauty tips - they provide a joyful and supportive environment where participants connect, share experiences, and enjoy moments of pampering. Run in South Africa under the CTFA (Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association), the program is generously supported by CTFA member companies, industry partners, and individual donors. When patients look good, they often begin to feel better too.
