KAO South Africa Salon Division recognizes Rep of the Year Stuart Poole

This year, Kao South Africa Salon Division was finally allowed to get together as a company for an annual Sales Conference titled “The Kao Year of Revival” at the Kao Academy in Joburg, and what an amazing event it was.

Kevin Tabilo, National Sales Manager Kao Salon Division, says: “I joined in September 2020 and there were people in the company I had not yet met in person, so for me it was a real treat. We had days of education, launching new products, got to play games and interact with different teams. We even went go- carting Le Mans style!”

The 3 conference days were sprinkled with on-the-spot incentives to keep the excitement going, rewarding winners with ‘Kao Bucks’ to be redeemed at the mystery Kao Shop.

A highlight of the conference was the announcement of Rep of the Year at the team dinner. The criteria to win this award was based on the following points:

  • Horizontal Distribution (selling in of NPD’s)

  • Vertical Distribution (New doors)

  • Tech Requests and Selling of Seminars

  • Target Achievement

  • Team Player

  • Admin (every rep’s favorite one)

Based on those criteria and a very fair points system, we had a clear winner and that was Stuart Poole who also received a trophy, his name engraved on a floating trophy, and an awesome cash prize.

Kevin says: “In the almost two years I have been at the company, I have seen this guy go above and beyond for his clients and always doing what is required of him from the company. Best of all, he is such a team player. So, well done, Stuart, you made us all proud and it was an achievement that was beyond well deserved.

With all of the madness that has happened, it was good to celebrate people’s successes and of course it was good to have that revival feeling, and that feeling that in spite of it all, we are going to be more than ok.

Keep your head up everyone and enjoy the little moments of victory. Lean into the problems and find creative ways to solve them, what you will learn will be invaluable to your character. Find that balance between working hard and playing hard and remember that it is also ok to not be ok. PS – Don’t take yourselves too seriously either.”

On this happy note, we at KAO South Africa wishes you a great second half of the year and as our vision goes, we wish that you embrace the “Kirei” of life – to live life beautifully.

Yours Sincerely,

Team KAO Salon Division South Africa
