With the announcement of our local finalists in the Kao Salon Global Creative Awards, we’re excited to showcase over the next few weeks, a series of stunning colour styles from each of our finalists, and the inspiration behind their finished look.

This week we focus on Kyle van Wyk from Texture Incorporated and Nicole Sheree Rademeyer from Texture Incorporated.

Each post will feature two incredible stylists — one from the Creative Colorist category and one from the New Talent Colorist category — highlighting their standout work side by side. Inspiration Behind the Look

This look was inspired by the color wheel we use every day as colourists - our foundation for creativity - and the natural beauty of a beach sunset, where fiery oranges blend into deep blues and aqua tones. It’s a fusion of technical precision and organic inspiration.

NEW TALENT COLORIST

My inspiration came from rust , its textures, tones, and the way it evolves over time. There’s something captivating about how metal reacts to the elements, creating layers of burnt oranges, deep browns, and raw, earthy reds. It reflects both beauty and imperfection, which I wanted to translate into hair through rich, dimensional color and intentional texture.

Goldwell’s tools and tones give me the confidence to turn inspiration into artistry, every time.
