Kao Salon Global Creative Awards 2025: Finalist Focus

With the announcement of our local finalists in the Kao Salon Global Creative Awards, we’re excited to showcase over the next few weeks, a series of stunning colour styles from each of our finalists, and the inspiration behind their finished look.

Each post will feature two incredible stylists — one from the Creative Colorist category and one from the New Talent Colorist category — highlighting their standout work side by side. My Inspiration + Why Goldwell

Inspired by the calm strength of Enchanted Solace and the emotion behind Orange Glow, I created a look that blends softness with a bold, radiant edge. It’s about quiet transformation - where warmth meets serenity.

Goldwell gives me the freedom to create without limits. With Elumen’s brilliance and lasting integrity, my ‘why Goldwell’ moment was knowing I could turn vision into vivid, wearable art.

NEW TALENT COLORIST

My concept is something I have always been very passionate about, and it’s a topic that resonates with everyone!  No matter what part of world you live in, I think we can all recognise and feel the effects of global warming and climate change. That is one of the many reasons I love working with Goldwell. Not only do they prioritise great quality products, but they practice ethical standards in all areas of the industry and constantly strive to create more sustainable products, starting from the raw ingredients, till the very end,  the consumer use, and recyclable materials.

I wanted to put my all into this project, so I was meticulous about everything; the colour pallet, the colour placement and the story that speaks through the final image.

Orange and red in the centre of the hair represent hot spots of thermal imaging on each continent.

Blue and green on the top and bottom of the thermal area represent our beautiful earth and oceans.

This concept is a reminder; to be more conscious of our carbon footprint; that we are the change.
