Important 2025 Hairnews Industry Awards Update

It is with sincere regret that we announce the postponement of the Hairnews Industry Awards, but only for 2025!

Last year, we made the decision to shift the timeline for entries and voting, in hopes that this change would be more manageable for everyone involved. Unfortunately, this meant that not everyone who wanted to share their gorgeous work was able to do so in the timeframe.

We believe strongly that the Hairnews Awards should reflect the full scope of talent, passion, and excellence within our stylists, salons, industry brands and educators.  With all the artistic creativity of the South African hair and beauty industry, we want to really be able to showcase a fair and accurate representation of our amazing stylists and their incredible work.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time this year to participate. Your continued support means the world to us.

The Hairnews Industry Awards will return in early 2026 — refreshed, re-energised, and with a timeline that better suits the rhythm of our amazing industry.
