What a year it has been! Who would have thought when we welcomed 2020 in, that it would overturn our lives in so many ways, bringing the toughest, most testing year for everyone in the hairdressing industry.

We are full of admiration for every single person who has remained resilient, positive, and kept doing their utmost in very difficult circumstances that have often meant hard changes. We feel for every salon owner who has been forced to close or downsize their beloved business. We hope that you will be able to reinvent yourself and rebuild in the coming year and that better times lie ahead.

Thank you to every single salon and hairstylist who has embraced the need for safety, sanitisation and mask wearing, doing your bit to control the spread of the pandemic and get things back to normal faster. Thank you to the EOHCB and Bargaining Council for your ongoing communication with government and the industry, allowing us to stay open after the initial level 4 and 5 closure.

2021 is going to be a challenging year, there is no doubt about it, but we know that our amazing industry will regroup and grow, while adapting to the new reality that we find ourselves in. Wishing everyone a safe, healthy and successful 2021.
