Exciting News - The Hairnews Industry Awards Are Back!

After taking a year’s break, the Hairnews Industry Awards are returning in 2026 – refreshed, redesigned and more focused than ever. 

Entirely online and free to enter, the Awards aim to recognize creativity and excellence throughout our awesome industry. 

Entries will open on the 7^th August 2026. 

For this year’s awards, we have refined and streamlined the categories to make the entry process more accessible, while creating an Awards platform that feels even more closely connected to the Hairnews brand.

We have seen so many incredible styles over the past years, and the local technical talent and sheer artistry of South African stylists are hard to beat even on the international stage. 

Now you can push your creative genius and expertise to the limit!

Our 2026 nominations will reflect and celebrate our ongoing partnerships with key brands across Hairnews in the last year / 12 months.

The Nominations will be announced at the end of September 2026, and industry voting will open at the beginning of October 2026.

General Rules to help prepare for the awards & avoid your entry being disqualified!

• Entries and/or Nominations open 7^th August 2026.

• You must be a resident in South Africa to enter.

• Entries must include your name, contact number, salon name and town of residence.

• Entries must include your model/client’s first name and confirm that you have permission to publish their photos on a public platform.

• You may submit a MAXIMUM of TWO entries per category.

• Each entry must be emailed separately.

• Ensure your email is NOT larger than 3 MB. Please resize photos before sending.
