Effective 1 September 2023, Kevin Tabilo will be promoted to Country Manager, taking over from Steve Leahy. Kevin will be carrying out a concurrent role, carrying out both National Sales and Country Manager duties.
Kevin brings over 18 years of Sales and Marketing experience, with a decade of that experience coming in the Hair Industry working with various top brands such as Kevin Murphy, Wella and Joico. Most recently Kevin has been heading up the Sales Team in South Africa navigating the very challenging post-Covid era of the salon business. He has shown that he is a very competent and capable leader within the Kao South Africa organization. We look forward to his contributions and innovative ideas as Kao South Africa steps into a new era under his leadership.

With the promotion of Kevin Tabilo, we are also happy to announce that we have promoted Lachelle Engelbrecht into the Regional Manager role, effective from the 1st of September.
Lachelle comes with a wealth of hair experience from working in salon as a stylist to sales and education, to the foundation, implementation and successful launch of one of SA’s favorite franchises. Lachelle has diverse experience that has provided her with a well-rounded perspective and a deep understanding and love of the industry.
She loves empowering, up-skilling and encouraging an industry that has been such a huge part of her life. Lachelle has also shown that she has exceptional leadership skills and has a way with not only her peers but also her clients. She always has innovative ideas and goes the extra mile for everyone in the team.
Lachelle started her journey at Kao SA Salon Division as a Sales Representative in 2019 and she was then promoted to Key Account Manager in 2022. As Lachelle moves into her new role, she will be looking after the whole inland team as well as all the major key accounts based in Gauteng.
We wish Lachelle all the best for her new role, we have no doubt that she will make a huge success of it.
