Whilst individual businesses will have their own ESP Business Intelligence indices, it's good to compare that to the industry index to create a call to action using ESP ☁️ type technologies.


July 2024 ESP ☁️ Index Notes:

Service and Retail turnover are both down year on year and month on month due to a decrease in the number of client visits. This is despite an increase in the average spend per visit.





While the pressure on the number of clients is always concerning it is good to see that this is being mitigated by the average spend per visit. So the focus is to get schedule occupancy as close to 100% as possible. This starts, as always, with offering great services and products at the right price but continues with efforts to retain clients.


Using ESP ☁️ type technologies create opportunities to answer these calls to action:

  • Feedback follow ups with clients, especially new clients. Also make sure that you act on that feedback in order to win back clients where necessary.

  • Rewarding loyalty

  • Effective marketing campaigns

  • Making it easy for clients to book via online bookings

  • Effective consultations with clients to make sure you understand their needs

  • Automated appointment reminders

  • Using gift vouchers to win new clients

  • Analysing your client retention to track new and regular clients and which staff are successfully retaining them
