EOHCB: Staff Retention

Global statistics provide some reasons for why staff resign -

  • Lack of career development and or advancement;

  • Inadequate compensation;

  • Work conditions or environment which is not favourable;

  • Organisational changes or restructuring;

  • Management or leadership in the business;

  • Lack of recognition or appreciation;

  • Insufficient work-life balance, time off, and flexibility;

  • Change in management and restructures, without proper communication;

  • Lack of alignment with organisational culture and vision; and

  • Conflict with management or coworkers.
