We are incredibly proud to share that two of our talented matric students, Christaylior B., (Mitchell’s Plain) and Chelsea P., (Lotus River) along with two of our alumni, Amy-Lee A., (Manenberg) and Marychan O., (Strandfontein) attended and participated in the Intercoiffure Mondial Hamburg 25 World Congress. The global hairdressing showcase took place recently in Hamburg, Germany over 5 days.

This Youth Month serves as an essential reminder of the significance of investing in the future of our young people, ensuring their inclusion in South Africa’s trajectory towards economic growth and renewal. These outstanding young women have been part of the hairdressing training programme offered at our school, made possible through our valued partnership with Intercoiffure Mondial’s Education for Life initiative and was introduced to our school in 2016 by Ezra Isaacs (Coiffure Ezra Hair and Beauty Salon), Rolf Losken and Jean Witte.
Two years ago, the girls participated in a local hairdressing showcase held in Cape Town, the Queen Charlotte Show. Their talent and professionalism caught the attention of representatives from Education for Life, who were so impressed that they took the girls through a selection process and then offered four of them sponsorship to attend the Hamburg 25 World Congress.

This marks the first international trip for these students, and they are beyond excited and deeply grateful to Intercoiffure Mondial, Education for Life, Wella Professionals, Goldwell, Schwarzkopf, College of Cape Town, and all the sponsors and supporters who have made this journey possible.
One of our alumni, Amy-Lee is studying hairdressing at the College of Cape Town. She shares, “I am overwhelmed and overjoyed with this opportunity. With all the amazing support from our mentors and sponsors, the impossible has become possible.”
