City & Guilds Industry-Qualified Hairdressers: Opportunity to Obtain South African National Qualification

The list of accredited Trade Test Centres that have partnered with the SSETA to offer the opportunity to City & Guilds industry-qualified hairdressers to apply for the fully funded ARPL Trade Test to obtain the South African National Qualification has been updated. Employers are requested to take note and to notify eligible employees and colleagues accordingly.

 

Hairdressing Beauty & Skincare Industry Pension Fund (Hbsi): 2025 Trustee Report

 Survey: Beauty Sector: Somatologists

In the upcoming weeks, establishments in the Beauty sector will be asked to complete a questionnaire concerning Somatologists employed or working in their establishments. Please kindly co-operate by completing and submitting the completed questionnaire.

 

 REMINDERS

 

Exemptions from Membership of the HBSI Pension Fund:

The four-month period within which exemptions from membership of the HBSI Pension Fund are processed is September to December each year, for the following calendar year. Both applications and appeals (if any) must be processed within this period. Establishments wishing to apply for exemption for the 2026 calendar year are reminded to obtain and complete the necessary documentation in time for submission within the period.

 

HBSI: Responsible Person (Section 13A):

Employers are reminded of their legal duty to provide the HBSI Fund with the details of the Responsible Person in their establishments. The Forms that have been circulated should be completed and submitted to hbsipension@prevue.co.za.

 

Proof of Payment: Email Address:

Proof of Payment correspondence should be emailed to accounts@hcsbc.co.za. Establishments that are using the info@hcsbc email address in their online Banking or Banking Apps must please change the address to accounts@hcsbc.co.za.
