Following the negotiations conducted during 2025, the Employers’ Organisation for Hairdressing Cosmetology and Beauty (EOHCB) and UASA - the Union, concluded a collective agreement towards the end of 2025.

Duration

The duration of the agreement is for one year, commencing on 1 March 2026 and terminating on 28 February 2027. The agreement provides that the negotiation teams will continue with negotiations in 2026 to address:

  • A review of the administration and rules of the Sick Benefit Funds;

  • the alignment of the four areas of the Main Collective Agreement (MCA), including the PSC percentage, contribution wages, commission structures, and the difference in Pension Fund contributions;

  • wage adjustments for 2027 to 2029.

Salary/Wage Increases

  • 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2027 – 6% increase on prescribed salaries.

  • Should the NMW increase in 2026 be less than 6%, no additional increases will be implemented. If the increase to the NMW is more than 6%, only the prescribed minima, as contained in the wage schedules of the MCA, will be adjusted to be in line.

Contribution Wage

  • The contribution wages that are below 60% of the prescribed minimum wages will be increased to 60% of the prescribed minimum wages. The contribution wages will also be further addressed as part of the alignment process.

All other agreed terms and conditions shall remain in place unless otherwise agreed in terms of the provisions of the agreement and/or as otherwise agreed between the parties to the Council.

The parties also entered into an agreement in September 2025, amending the duration of the Agency Agreement to 28 February 2029.
