The fabulous and well established Shyloks 1 Hair Studio in Tableview, Cape Town, is under exciting new ownership and undergoing a fabulous renovation.

There are employment opportunities available for 4 full time hairstylists and a nail technician in this gorgeous salon.

Requirements:

• Qualified with minimum 1 year experience;

• Own clientele

• Must work on all hair types / nails

• Experience with hair extensions if possible / nail extensions

• Experience with upstyles (hair)

• Cut, Colour & Style (hair)

• Male / Female Stylist( hair and nail)

• Fluent in Afrikaans & English

• To start asap

Working Hours are Monday - Fridays 8:30 - 17:00, Saturdays 8:30 - 15:00, Sundays - Closed

More About the Famous Shyloks 1 Hair Studio

Shyloks 1 Hair Studio came into existence in 1987 with Donald Espin as the owner. The salon was originally situated in a small shopping centre in Blaauwberg Road. He then bought a house on the beachfront in Tableview and opened Shyloks (where the Blaauwberg hotel is currently). Eddie Dale started to work for Donald in 1988 as a hairdresser. Before Donald’s emigration to New Zealand in 2001, he sold Shyloks 1 Hair Studio to Marius de Hart and Eddie Dale.

In 2003 Eddie bought Marius’ shares in Shyloks 1 Hair Studio to become the sole owner. Eddie was the sole owner of Shyloks 1 Hair Studio until 2016 when he gave 50% of Shyloks shares to his wife, Cecilia. In 2005 Eddie moved Shyloks from the beachfront to the Monica Clark Building on Blaauwberg Road where it is still situated.@ 52 Blaauwberg road

In 2019 when Eddie turned 65 years old, he and his wife made the decision to place Shyloks on the market in order for Eddie to hand the reins to someone younger. They then received an offer to purchase from Mark Stout-Sheard.

Mark is in the process of purchasing Shyloks 1 Hair Studio during which time he has begun a rebranding and marketing strategy for the growth of the Salon. Part of which has been a mini renovation inside the space, creating a more modern setting. Mark has over 24 years experience in the industry and is passionate about hair and haircare, with a goal to create a Brand that shines. There is more in the future for the salon, so keep an eye on us.
