In the wake of the announcements made by Minister Patel on Saturday, 25 April 2020 in terms of the phased opening of the economy, a submission was made on Monday 27th April by the EOHCB, UASA and The National Bargaining Council for the Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty and Skincare Industry to implore government to re-assess and reconsider the placing of our Industry under Level 1. A detailed response was submitted outlining the Risk Adjustment strategy for economic activity within the industry.

A huge thanks to these organisations for their efforts. We are very confident they have presented a strong and compelling case for the hair and beauty industry to reopen sooner, and we hope that the arguments are understood and accepted by government. More info will follow as soon as it is available.
