Sales Consultants Required for Kao Professional - Distributors of Goldwell and KMS

Kao Professional requires sales consultants in the following areas:

Join the Kao Professional team, and work with industry-leading brands Goldwell and KMS, in the vibrant and exciting hairdressing industry.

Purpose of the position

Building business for the KAO Salon Division focusing on the brands Goldwell and KMS. Support and develop customers (Salons) in the assigned territory. Achieving continuous vertical and horizontal expansion of our portfolio of brands while ensuring long-term profitable revenue and growth. Consistent execution of the Global Salon Division's - Go To Market Strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Achieving sales targets through being a partner to the salon owner in order to build a mutually beneficial growth path for the long term

  • Organise and/or conduct product introduction training for new salons, while driving new distribution objectives (Lead creation and follow up)

  • Act as an ambassador for the Global Kao Salon Division.

  • Sell the total portfolio of master brands.

  • Implement/execute KAO Salon Division strategy while adhering to standard processes at all times.

  • Complete and submit sales reports as per company standard to your manager.

  • Provide sales insight to the education team to ensure collaborative, cross functional expertise is shared.

  • Analyse monthly revenue as per business standards, develop plans of action in the case of a negative budget deviation to achieve budget compliance and increased sales.

  • Sell and manage the entire portfolio while demonstrating ability to build long lasting relationships and loyalty.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in areas of Sales, Marketing and Education (SME) and lead change

  • Continuously consult with salon owners to encourage their growth while utilising negotiation techniques to ensure our brands are best supported

  • Observe the market and competitor activities and provide quality feedback to the SME team

  • Preparation and execution of call cycle monthly, targeting 12 calls per day

  • Handling customers clients as well as identifying and resolving concerns

  • Presenting and selling company services and products to both new and potential customers

  • Manage account services through follow-up and quality checks

  • Able to communicate in both English and Afrikaans


  • Sales qualifications preferable

  • 2 to 3 years B2B selling experience

  • Confident, friendly, helpful, polite, team player, strong self-starter and an eagerness to learn

  • Business like appearance and ability to convey knowledge of current styles and trends
