From New York Fashion Week, to Paris, to Milan to… Lesotho!

Wella Professionals is proud of the tradition of partnering with major Fashion Week events around the world. In April this year, Wella Professionals extended its New York, Paris and Milan Fashion Week sponsorship to include Lesotho Fashion Week (LSFW).

The much-anticipated, high profile event took place at sponsor Mpilo Boutique Hotel’s prestigious hotel in Maseru where Miss Lesotho 2019 Palesa Makara, attended the event. Local and international guest celebrities and business people made up the splendid and diverse guest list. In addition to Wella and Mpilo, Woolworths was also a sponsor.

World-class catwalk hair fashion enabled both the professional and consumer market to experience first-hand the magic that is Wella. Wella Professionals EIMI styling products were used to create showstopping looks that worked in harmony with the Spring/Summer fashion collections. Products included Stay Styled, Thermal Image, Pearl Styler and top-selling Glam Mist.

Wella’s partnership with Lesotho Fashion Week is grounded in the belief that Africa’s emerging and established fashion and beauty players canand shouldelevate African talent to the global stage. It is with this spirit that Wella Professionals will continue where possible to provide the industry with assistance to reach that global stage.

Fashion designers who showcased their Spring/Summer 2019 collections include Wild Laelia Designs and Tailored by Hessini from Lesotho, Forever Grey Fashion Gallery from South Africa, House of Irawo from Nigeria, Dihdah from Botswana, and Pattern Nation, a South African/Canadian brand.

Wella Professionals styling range EIMI is the official styling range for fashion events across the globe. The concept of the EIMI styling range can be described in one word: individuality. EIMI, meaningI am, speaks to the freedom afforded to individuals to represent themselves as they are; be it in their fashion choices, hairstyles, manner of speaking or otherwise portraying themselves. The styling range allows stylists and their clients to interpret global trends in their own way, emphasising creativity and originality.

Wella Professionals is the global authority in hair colour and together with international experts, they create a portfolio of beauty trends designed to inspire hair artistry. In Africa, the brand is managed and distributed by Modern Hair and Beauty. The brand has long been at the forefront of innovation in colour and hair care as well as educating stylists to push the boundaries of their creativity.

Partnering with Lesotho Fashion Week is an opportunity to introduce the diversity of EIMI styling to both African woman and the continental fashion industry.
