This was when I saw that gents hairdressing was more my route to go. Barbering to me is such an amazing craft. Today I travel the country as a educator for one of the fastest growing franchises and I get to inspire and nurture up and coming barbers.
Shafiek started barbering after his barber joked that he will teach me to become a barber, not knowing that he had cancer and wanted to pass his skills on to someone. His advice to contestants is to familiarize yourself with the requirements of the category you are competing in, understand what the judges are looking for and enjoy!
