The 2018 L’Oréal Colour Trophy Finals was an amazing event. Showcasing incredible hair, impeccably produced, and supported by hairdressing’s most talented stars! The strong field of finalists showcased today’s most trending colour with inspirational techniques, brilliant cuts, and stunning total looks.
Congratulations to Stacy Fagan for clinching the overall victory with an exquisite creation of graduated peach perfection, paired with a funky fashionable cut. Stacy, from Hair @ Stacy & Co, Greenside, wins an all expenses paid trip to Paris worth R100,000 to participate in the global finals.
Congrats to the runner up Valene Gerber from Head Girls, and the second runner up Dorne Vrey from Dorne Vrey Professional Hair.
In the Afro Category, Corinne Ward from Shag High Voltage Hair, Port Elizabeth, won with her exuberant blonde Afro creation.
The Male Category was won by Fabio Macchia from Shag High Voltage Hair, who showcased a perfectly on trend short gent’s style with a quirky twist and a highlighted fringe.
The Rising Star Award was won by Lauren van den Berg from DNA Salon, Bedfordview, with a look that showcased gorgeous pastel long hair.
Highlights of the event were two incredible shows. Terence of Terenzo Hairdressing International, L’Oréal Professionnel South African ambassador, opened the event with a phenomenal celebration of super-fashionable hair and fabulous live music, ranging from rock to opera.
International guest star Guylaine Martel, L’Oréal Professionnel ambassador for Canada, closed the event with a breathtakingly dramatic performance that showcased her expertise in upstyling and long hair creations.
