L’Oréal Colour Trophy: Meet the Judges


Entries for the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2018 in South Africa will be judged by a panel of six top international hair artists and colour experts, including trendsetters, educators and celebs.

Today L’Oréal Professionnel South Africa reveals the names of four of these iconic judges!

Sophia Hilton

Award-winning Owner of Not Another Salon and Not Another Academy, London.

A national and international educator working in 5 countries, Sophia drives her passion of education into the salon. Winner of the prestigious L'Oréal Colour Trophy, named 2017 Colour Expert of the Year, and previous winner at the British Hairdressing awards, she takes a pride in leading her industry as much as her team.

 

Matthew Collins

Celebrity stylist, international educator and L’Oréal Professionnel ambassador.

Matthew has worked regularly on Paris and Toronto fashion weeks, been awarded L’Oréal Professionnel’s Canadian Runway Stylist of the Year, featured in numerous publications, and founded “The Good Ones” – an advanced training academy. An expert colourist, he specialises in beautiful, wearable, commercial techniques that clients love.

 

Min Kim

Celebrity Colourist, International Artist, Premier Balayage Educator and Master Colour Specialist

Min Kim is an extraordinary hairstylist, educator and public speaker and she is an icon in the world of balayage. Her attention to detail, natural eye for colour, and passion for her craft are why she is in high demand, a client favourite and most of all, an inspiration.

 

Berni Ottjes

World-renowned hair expert and award-winning L’Oréal Professionnel ambassador for fifteen years.

Berni Ottjes has a passion for colour. His unmistakable techniques – natural, harmonious, feminine and sexy, inspire hairstylists all over the globe. He is a L’Oréal Professionnel International Portfolio Artist, and has won numerous awards including the Overall Award for the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy, and is a hall-of-famer.
