Images 1 Student Triumphs

Five months ago, Nicole Pearce started her education at Images 1 Hair Academy in Port Elizabeth, as part of the Services Seta-funded training programme for disadvantaged candidates. This talented and ambitious stylist had no previous experience – but thanks to her hard work and the amazing tuition she received at Images 1, she has achieved amazing success. Nicole entered the Sof n’ Free Young Xpert Challenge, and ended up winning the title!

“This competition has changed my student’s life,” explains academy principal Anny Britz. “She had never been out of Port Elizabeth, let alone boarding an airplane to Johannesburg, staying in a luxury hotel, and taking part in a production with the likes of Somizi Mhlongo, Amanda Black and Kwesta, as well as some of South Africa’s top hairstylists.”

Nicole’s life is forever changed. The young, unemployed, single mother of one now has a magnificent R30,000 cash prize and many doors opened for her, and a bright future awaits.
