Scissors on Main, Paarl, has put together a wonderful team to give some hope, comfort, and great haircuts to people in the Karoo suffering the effects of the drought.
The team hopes to take Hairnews readers along on this heartfelt journey through the lens of their cameras.
“We are a team of 15 who will spend 8 days on the road traveling a total distance of +-2200km to the drought-stricken areas of the Central Karoo and Eastern Cape,” says Antoinette, owner of Scissors on Main. “We will depart from Cape Town on the 8th of March. We would like to make a difference in a few farmers and their families’ lives, by spoiling them with a little TLC including treatments/cuts, beard trimming etc.
“I think this is a first outreach of its kind and I would like to encourage salons to get involved in similar initiatives within their communities,” Antoinette emphasises.
