Jean Witte of Synergy Hair Intercoiffure and Cizelle van Putten of Cizelle’s Hair Studio, explain why they love their Dyson Supersonic Professional dryers.
Jean Witte: Past Intercoiffure President and Owner of Synergy Hair, Cape Town Q: How long have you owned your Dyson Supersonic Professional and why did you choose it? A: Since November 2018. I chose it for its shape, light weight, and quiet sound. Q: What are the biggest differences between the Dyson and other hairdryers you have used? A: The Dyson is more powerful, its drying speed is faster, it is lighter in weight and I love the magnetic snap-on, snap-off nozzles. Q: What do you personally love the most about it? A: The diffuser is the bomb! And I love that I am able to get through a blowdry quicker. Q: What do clients think of the dryer? A: It is always of interest and a talking point due to its incredible looks. They also love the fact it has a softer sound. Q: What are your top tips for maintaining the dryer? A: Keep it in a secure place, and keep the filter clean. Q: Do you think it is good value for money? A: Most definitely yes, if you use it all day every day in the salon you will get immense value out of it!
Cizelle van Putten: Owner, Cizelle’s Hair Studio, Nelspruit Q: How long have you owned your Dyson Supersonic Professional and why did you choose it? A: I have owned it for nearly two years, and chose it because of my shoulder and neck problems (T4 syndrome). The Dyson is lightweight and does not put any weight on my problem areas, and has helped me improve my posture. Q: What are the biggest differences between the Dyson and other hairdryers you have used? A: The biggest difference is that it’s super fast when drying, lightweight, and does not damage the hair with heat as it regulates the temperature 20 times per second. It’s crazy but true... and I can hear what my clients are saying during the blowdry! Q: What are the biggest advantages for you when using it? The speed, the shine, and the body that it creates in the hair. You get straightness, but with bounce. And it saves loads of time. Q: What do you love most about your Dyson? A: I love the unique look of it with the hole inside, and the fact that the technology is so much more advanced than any other hairdryer on the market at the moment. Q: What do clients think of the dryer? A: Clients love it and it is special for them, they all know Dyson is a top brand and love to see that my salon is staying on top of technology. Q: What are your top tips for maintaining the dryer? A: Keep the filter clean at all times. It’s so easy to clean and only takes a few seconds. Q: Do you think it is good value for money? A: The biggest advantage for me personally is that I don’t have pain in my neck and back... money can’t buy that! And it’s a time saver... time is money for hairstylists, even though I personally don’t overbook myself and always spend the time with each client they deserve. I would definitely recommend it for any stylist even though it is not a cheap hairdryer... I’m a big fan of my Dyson!
