Colour Trends: Linton & Mac Predictions for Autumn-Winter

Nordic White and Tobacco Yellow are the two trends that will be rocking hair fashion this autumn-winter – so predicts Sarah Black, colour expert at Linton & Mac salons, UK. Here’s more on these two sought after shades.

NORDIC WHITE

Baby-white locks, pure and Nordic-looking will be huge next season. This is quite an extreme colour change, especially if your clients are used to highlights, as the roots are bleached too, so there is no hint of original colour. This can be quite a drastic aesthetic change so this isn’t a colour for commitment-phobes or low maintenance types. If your clients do decide to try out this striking trend, make a purple shampoo and deep conditioner their new best friends; both are essential for keeping any hints of brassiness, and dryness, at bay.

TOBACCO YELLOW

Those looking to shake things up this A/W18 can take their colour into this darker version of blonde that’s set to be huge next season. Tobacco Yellow is smoking hot in more ways than one and is a colour trend I see being huge next season. My version of the Gen Z yellow colour trend we saw so much of last season, this incarnation is made more wearable by creating a duskier, almost dirtier finish. I look at that as my ‘signature colour’, as all my favourite palettes and tones have a slightly muted, dusky finish.
