What advice do you give your clients when they head off for summer holidays? Sean Cox, owner of Swept, Morningside, tells them to take it easy!

On holidays, clients should leave their hair alone and go for a looser, natural feel – don’t try to work it as much as you do the rest of the year. The main complaint on holidays is frizz, which is why my two go-to products are a heat protector and an oil. That way hair is shielded from the sun and kept well moisturised.

Hopefully if the client uses good products while she is on holiday and doesn’t overwork her hair, then both she and her hair will come back feeling healthier and more relaxed!

Decor Tour: Swept, Morningside

Located in a stunning mall that specialises in unique, owner-run stores, Swept owes its welcoming yet glamorous look to a combination of textures – owner Sean and his wife chose what they loved, and the result is a very special look and feel.
