Service turnover is up from last month due to an increase in the average spend per visit and despite a drop in the number of client visits.
Retail turnover is down from last month and this is due to the decrease in client visits but also further impacted by a decrease in the average retail spend per visit.
These results are slightly mixed as we had anticiated an increase in client visits as we move towards summer. The challenge now is to push to get feet through the door. This will rely on the obvious basics like top quality service, actively booking clients for their next appointments when they check out and balancing this with the end of year promotional campaigns that start to kick in. Remember that the average spend per visit will most likely be impacted by promotional discounts so upselling, add-ons and retail sales will be critical to balance this out.
