Update on Working Week Hours

Stephen Delport of the Bargaining Council explains why some of the working week hours (Pretoria a 40 hour week, most other areas a 45 hour week), differ – and how you can apply for an exemption if your salon works a 40 hour week.

He also reiterates that the Bargaining Council does not make the rules – it is up to salons to join the EOHCB (as owners) or the Union (as employees) – these two organisations make the rules which the Bargaining Council then enforces. Joining the EOHCB or UASA the Union will help ensure your voice is heard!
