On 2-3 September, Southern Africa’s biggest trade expo for the hairdressing industry will be held at Gallagher Estates.
Regular visitors to the show will be looking forward to the awesome live stage shows, interactive stands, and the excitement of the EOHCB hairdressing championships. This year there’s something new – the first ever Salon Africa Photographic Competition. This is free to enter and open to all, with R35,000-worth of prizes to be won, sponsored by Wahl. New! The Salon Africa Photographic Competition
If you’re a creative hairstylist with great ideas and skills to match, you can enter the first-ever Salon Africa Photographic Hair Competition. There are four categories to choose from: Ladies Progressive Cut and Colour, Male Fashion in Focus, Catwalk Extravaganza (Braiding or Dreadlocks), and Best of Barbering – men’s traditional classic cut and blow.
It’s free to enter and anyone from students to seasoned professionals can compete. Photos must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by the closing date of 19 August, and they will be judged by a panel of industry experts. The results will be announced at 2 pm on Monday 3 September at the Salon Africa Expo, with incredible sponsored prizes from Wahl for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners in each category. The EOHCB Championships
The EOHCB Champs will be held over two days at Salon Africa, and there will be sections for all levels from apprentices to top stylists. The entry form will be published on Hairnews within the next few days... look out for it!
