  • Partners Hair Design Opens in Mall of the South, Gauteng

Lewis Thomas, owner of the famous Partners Hair Design salon chain in Cape Town, has expanded his business into Gauteng, opening a new Partners Hair Design Gents salon at the Mall of the South, in partnership with the well known Chase Meakin. The Partners Hair Design story began more than 30 years ago, when Lewis arrived from the UK with little luggage, less money, but a burning ambition to succeed in his chosen profession. With his wife’s support – and the funds raised from selling her car – he realised the beginnings of his dream when he opened his first salon in Cavendish Close, Cape Town, in 1984. Today, the group is an established and highly successful business made up of 14 unisex and 8 gents’ salons. This Johannesburg salon marks the next step in the Partners journey and we wish Lewis and Chase all the very best.

She tells a story about one salon where they had a bowl of sweets at reception for clients to dip into after their service. One day they took the sweets away – and clients noticed and began asking where the sweets were. That tiny detail had come to mean a lot to them, and they missed the pleasure of choosing a sweet when it was gone.
